Bol Bol intends to remain under contract with Phoenix Suns

After a brief but exciting season with the organization last year, Phoenix Suns reserve big man Bol Bol intends to stay with the team on a one-year contract says ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

The Suns’ salary cap position prevented them to giving Bol a meager raise since they lacked his Bird rights accumulated with many seasons spent for a single team.

For the five years of prior NBA service, Phoenix could only pay him a 120% rise or boost from veteran minimum salary slot.

Bol earned $2.2 million in previous season.Last season, the 24-year-old averaged 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.6 blocks under since-fired head coach Frank Vogel in 10.6 minutes per game.
