“Now, it’s time for this chapter to come to a close. This was the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life, and I know it’s not easy, but I believe this is the path I had to choose,” he added.
During the course of the 2023/24 campaign, Guiu featured in seven competitive matches for FC Barcelona.
The youngster played a bigger role for Barça Atletic as they narrowly missed out on promotion to the second division. Guiu notably had four goal involvements during the promotion playoffs.
“Barcelona has always been by my side, and this feeling will not change. I hope that in the future our paths will cross again and that Barcelona will be able to achieve many successes. Despite the distance, I will celebrate all of your accomplishments as a fan,” Guiu assured.
“The truth is that I have nothing but words of gratitude to the club that made me. I would like to thank the whole Barcelona family. You made this trip unforgettable, and each and every one of you will always have a place in my heart,” he added.
Finally, Guiu thanked his family for their support, adding, “To my family, thank you for your constant support, for the happy and sad situations, for victory and defeat, you will always be my family.”
