O’Neal was seen posing with Welch and a friend who also featured in the viral video in one photo, and gazing into the girl’s eyes in another.

Welch has amassed a sizable social media following since the video went viral. She has profited from it as well, creating items using the now-famous catchphrase.

Over the weekend, she emerged from hiding and joined country music sensation Zach Bryan on stage.At Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Saturday night, during Bryan’s “Quittin Time” tour, the 23-year-old was observed performing with him.

O’Neal is not the only famous athlete to be caught up in the mania. The newest performance by WWE talent Logan Paul in New York on Friday night featured a ‘Hawk Tuah’ maneuver that went viral on social media.

Welch is even receiving tidbits of attention in print media. Following the city’s NBA franchise, the Pelicans, completing a trade for Dejounte Murray from the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, social media user Jono Barnes offered a humorous suggestion to The Times Picayune in New Orleans.

“The Times Picayune slacking if the headline isn’t FROM A HAWK TUAH PELICAN,” wrote Barnes on X.To his surprise, he found out later that night that the newspaper had indeed chosen the title ‘FROM A HAWK TO A PELICAN’ on the front page of its Saturday edition.
