Taking a summer vacation to Spain with a slew of A-list friends—including actor Samuel L. Jackson—Magic Johnson seemed to be living it up recently.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The five-time NBA champion, who is 64 years old, posted photos to social media this week from what appear to be a rented yacht near the Spanish party island of Ibiza, where he is seen with his wife and crew.

Johnson shared an Instagram photo from a delightful meal with friends John and Vicki Palmer, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Cedric the Entertainer and his wife Lorna, and others. The setting was Juan Y Andrea Formentera. While enjoying lunch on the beach, he and his famous friends feasted on the day’s catch—fresh lobster and sea bass.

“It tastes great!” “Johnson said,” he said. The ex-Lakers point guard has a penchant for Spanish cuisine; he once dubbed a Barcelona dinner he had with the Jacksons and the Palmers “the chef’s kiss.”

But as is Johnson’s summer ritual, fans took to social media to make fun of the three-time NBA MVP for flaunting his expensive lifestyle.

“Yes, I always look forward to your vacation posts every summer,” one Instagram user wrote under the ex-basketball player’s image. Thank you for including us. Have fun.

“I eagerly anticipate ‘our’ trip annually!'” another person joked.

“Ah finally!!” was teased by someone else. How about we grab some popcorn? Where are we headed? While on vacation in Greece last summer, the Johnsons posted photos from their stops on Mykonos and Santorini.

Just days before the Lakers selected Bronny, son of LeBron James, in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, the former 12-time All-Star went on vacation.

During his first Lakers press conference on Tuesday, the 19-year-old guard announced that he will be wearing the No. 9 jersey for the Purple and Gold.

He was given to a Lakers fan together with Dalton Knecht, the team’s guard and first-round pick.
