Devin Booker beginning Team USA’s first exhibition game

Booker started five of the six games and averaged 9.3 points, spanning six contests (five starts) to go along with 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1,5 steals in 20.7 minutes per game during his debut Olympics in Tokyo.

Early this week in training camp, Kerr was quite complimentary of Booker.

“Booker) is the perfect example of a guy, who, in an NBA game, he is going to get 20 shots every night, (and) in “21 in Tokyo, he was more of a defender, ball-mover, but did a wonderful job and was one of our key players,” Kerr said. “He is returning here for this reason. We knew our need for him. Book’s capacity to see that, despite the change in role, she still hits the huge mark and is excited about a major event really impresses me. The FIBA guy in book is excellent.Before the squad flies to the Paris Olympics later this month, this game against Canada marks the first of five exhibition events. July 28 vs Serbia marks their first Olympic game.

The game tips tonight start at 7:30 p.m. MST in Las Vegas and will be broadcast on FS1.
