Blake Lively was seen on the set of “It Ends With Us” in New Jersey on Thursday. This sighting comes a day after she had dinner with her friend Taylor Swift at Lucali Pizza in Brooklyn.
The film, based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 bestseller, follows the story of Lily Bloom, a recent college graduate who moves to Boston to open a flower shop.
Lively, who plays Lily, was dressed in a strawberry blonde wig and bohemian-style clothes. In recent photos, she wore blue slacks with a blue shirt featuring a red and white pattern, a long denim coat, and red lace-front boots.
While walking on set, the mother-of-four was seen checking her cellphone, with an incoming text from a contact nаmed ‘Roy Orbison,’ likely a code nаme for a friend or her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
The movie also stars Justin Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid and Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan. The plot begins with Lily giving a eulogy at her father’s funeral. Later, on a rooftop, she meets Ryle, a neurosurgeon, who reveals he’s grieving the loss of a young patient. They Һit it off, but Ryle’s commitment issues lead them to part ways without exchanging information.
Six months later, Lily is injured while working at her flower shop with her friend Alyssa. Alyssa calls her brother, who turns out to be Ryle. Although they pretend not to know each other, the chemistry between them rekindles.
As Lily recovers, she reads journals from her teenage years, revealing her past relationship with Atlas, a homeless boy living nearby. The journals describe how they fell in love, only to be separated when her violent father attacked Atlas with a baseball bat.
In the present, Lily and Ryle begin dating. During dinner with her mother, Lily sees Atlas, who now has a girlfriend. Later, Ryle’s violent tendencies surface when he pushes Lily during an argument, leading her to question if she’s becoming like her mother, who suffered domestic abuse.
The story culminates in a turbulent turn of events, with Ryle ultimately discovering Lily’s connection to Atlas, resulting in a violent cоnfrоntation that leaves Lily injured and seeking help from Atlas. At the hospital, she learns she’s pregnant and decides to leave Ryle, not wanting her child to grow up in an abusive environment.
Months later, Lily reconnects with Atlas, who indicates he’s ready for a relationship. Colleen Hoover mentioned that the story was inspired by her own family experiences and described it as the most challenging book she has written.
As of 2019, the book had sold over 1 million copies worldwide and was translated into more than 20 languages.
