In an otherwise powerful and muscular exhibition of domination, the United States defeated Serbia,105-79; in only eleven days, they will meet Serbia in the Olympic opener. Stephen Curry and, yes, Bam Adebayo, were responsible for the aerial onslaught.

As they exchanged roles in front of the media following their combined nine 3s for Team USA, Adebayo said, “Here comes the real Splash Brother” before Curry did the same.

Among American players this summer, Curry has the most points with 24. He scored 18 of those points in the first half, when he made four three-pointers in 11 minutes. In the opening play of the game, he set the tone by knocking one down off a screen by LeBron James. In the second quarter, he delivered one of those spectacular four-point plays, splashing a shot near the sideline while drawing contact.

Team USA head coach Steve Kerr reintroduced his starting lineup in the fourth quarter with a lead of almost 25 points, and Curry made two more 3-pointers before he blew the game open.

Joel Embiid contributed eight points, eight boards, and three assists, and LeBron James chipped in eleven. As Kevin Durant cheered on his teammates from the sidelines, Nigel Hayes-Davis played three minutes without scoring.

Nikola Jokic scored 16 points and grabbed 11 boards in 28 minutes for Serbia, although he only had two assists. The European squad was led by 14 points from Aleksa Avramovic, 11 from Filip Petrusev, and 10 from Ognjen Dobric.

Marko Guduric stood strong, racking up 8 points, 3 steals, and 3 assists, while Vasilije Micic was restricted to 8 points on 2/8 FG.
