Five years ago, she learned of a featherless lovebird in need of a new home. Since then, she has become the toast of social media

Five years ago, Isabella Eisenmann, a 23-year-old, read a social media post about a lovebird that had lost all of its plumage. Isabella seized the opportunity to provide Rhea with a new home, and she rapidly developed a fondness for the bird. As a result, a significant portion of the Instagram community has also developed a fondness for her.

Unfortunately, Rhea will not be able to regrow her feathers as a result of Psittacine disease, a beak and feather disease. Therefore, she is obligated to don sweaters in order to maintain her body temperature and maintain a fashionable appearance. In severe instances, there are birds that lose their plumage, as well as their claws and beaks. Rhea is fortunate to have a benign form of the condition that necessitates only an annual blood test.

Rhea has not permitted her condition to depress her. She spends the majority of her time outside of her enclosure, running around the house and occasionally singing as loud as she can. She is extremely outgoing and social. She demonstrates to all that it is possible to be extremely cute while being different.

“I want people to learn that acceptance is crucial, and that no matter how different you are physically, you are still beautiful.” Isabella advised, “Always maintain a positive outlook, be cheerful, and smile.”
