Reports indicate that West Ham is considering the acquisition of N’Golo Kante, a former Chelsea midfielder, from Al-Ittihad during the ongoing summer transfer window.
It is believed that negotiations between the two parties are currently underway; however, both parties are eager to finalize an agreement.
According to reports, Kante is content with his existence at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia; however, there are indications that he may be interested in returning to the Premier League.West Ham, on the other hand, is currently seeking a new defensive midfielder after declining to sign Kalvin Phillips on a permanent basis following his unsatisfactory loan stint at the club.
Nevertheless, The Guardian reports that the Hammers would be required to pay approximately £20 million to secure Kante’s services for the 2024-2025 season.Nevertheless, Julen Lopetegui, the club’s new manager, is reputed to be a long-standing admirer of Kante and may facilitate a transaction.
