In their final warm-up match prior to the Olympic Games, the United States defeated Germany 92-88, with LeBron James contributing 20 points

The 39-year-old scored 11 of his game-high tally in the final four minutes, helping the USA overcome a challenging test at the sold-out O2 Arena in London.

Before James motivated the United States to victory, Germany held a 71-68 lead at the conclusion of the third quarter.

He made a three-pointer with one minute and 26 seconds remaining to give the USA a 90-86 advantage. He then added two more points to give them a 92-86 lead, which was enough to secure the victory.

The United States has secured all five of their pre-Olympic exhibition games, as Joel Embiid tallied 15 points and Stephen Curry 13 in a victory over Germany.

“It was an advantageous examination for us.” “I am pleased that we were able to maintain our composure and persevere, as we did against South Sudan the other day,” stated James, who will serve as a flagbearer for Team USA at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday.

The United States is striving to win its fifth consecutive gold medal in men’s basketball at the upcoming Olympics in Paris this summer. Their 12-member team is comprised of some of the NBA’s most talented players.

“Now it’s obviously a matter of showing up when the lights are bright next week,” Curry asserted.

“I believe we are prepared.” I believe we are adequately equipped. We are now required to execute the task.

They commence their Olympic campaign against Serbia on July 28th, followed by South Sudan on July 31st and Puerto Rico on August 3rd.

Team USA remains in need of improvement, despite their victories in both exhibition games played in London.

World champions Germany made a statement by compelling the United States to commit superfluous turnovers, regaining possession, and imposing penalties as a result.

Despite some defensive improvements observed in other coverages from the game against South Sudan, the coaches will undoubtedly be frustrated by this lack of focus.

However, does any of this matter if you have LeBron James on your team?

On Friday, he will be responsible for carrying the American flag; however, he was able to transport the entire team against Germany when necessary.

James ignited the O2 Arena at 39 years old with an opening dunk that established the atmosphere for the evening.

James assumed control during the final stretch, as he did against South Sudan.

The four-time gold medalist finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists, contributing all of Team USA’s final 11 points.

The British crowd erupted in acclaim for ‘the King’ as he powered past German defenders to score in the paint and exhibited his finesse with a three-pointer as the clock reached two minutes.

James’ value has increased as he has aged, akin to the finest wines.
