In preparation for the Paris Games, Durant missed all five of Team USA’s exhibition matches while he recovered from a calf strain he sustained last month during training.

Kleiman, though, states that Durant will play in the opening game against Sebia, disproving Windhorst’s claim.

“Indeed, he had the opportunity to play in London [against Germany] and is currently targeting Serbia as a potential opponent,” Kleiman said The Post. If Team USA wins gold in 2021, Durant will have the chance to join 2012, 2016, and 2021 as the men’s Olympic basketball champions with the most medals ever.

However, not everyone is pleased by Kleiman’s announcement.

The Suns’ fan base is on edge this summer, wondering if Durant would suffer yet another injury that will ruin the team’s chances of making the playoffs.
