We collaborated with the Jayson Tatum Elite Camp

Basics are key, whether you’re talking about free throws or financial literacy. We collaborated with the Jayson Tatum Elite Camp, put on by @jumpman23, as the Official Bank of the @NBA. Our goal was to hold discussions about passing wealth down through generations and provide future NBA players with the knowledge they need to manage their money wisely. 🏀

Embiid Thinks Jayson Tatum Has An Unstoppable Squad: “If I Go 5-20, I Get Blown Out”

Joel Embiid revealed on a podcast that he has warned Jayson Tatum that the 76ers can’t afford to lose by a large margin if he goes 5-for-20 in a game, in reference to Tatum’s success with the Boston Celtics.

“I also tell him that. We lose badly if I go 5–20.

When comparing the two players’ individual abilities, few would argue that Tatum is superior to Embiid. We haven’t seen Tatum match Embiid’s output, but his versatility as a forward makes him potentially more effective and well-rounded. Being the public face of their franchise, the 76ers also rely on every point that Embiid scores.

Embiid had a tremendous effect on the 76ers last season, as seen by their 31-8 record when he was in the lineup. Because he is a much more resilient player, Tatum should be credited for being accessible enough to guide his squad to victory. While few other superstars can boast a 6-0 record in the 2024 Playoffs while shooting under 40% from the field, Tatum and the Celtics did just it.

Last season, Jayson Tatum was nominated to the All-NBA First Team after averaging 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.

Embiid missed the most of the season due to injury, but in the 39 games he did participate in, he averaged 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. He had a good chance of reclaiming his MVP title from the previous season when the previous season came to a close.

The Celtics dominated the 2024 playoffs, according to Joel Embiid, because of how everyone was hurt. After the NBA Finals, in which Boston celebrated the city’s 18th NBA Championship after defeating the Dallas Mavericks, Embiid casually referred to the Celtics as a superteam. Embiid made an appearance on ESPN during a Finals game and shot down the idea that the Celtics were a dynasty because of the new CBA and all the injuries in the East.

Not with the new CBA, in my opinion. Everyone in the East was hurt, including me, and you have to realize that. Next year, I’m probably going to be there.

The first argument has already been disproven because the Celtics have continued to breach the CBA’s second apron restrictions by offering long-term contracts to every player who was eligible for an extension. Since the present owners are planning to sell the team shortly, whomever purchases the franchise will be responsible for handling salary disputes and the consequences of collective bargaining agreements.

Without Jimmy Butler, the Celtics fell to the Heat in the first round, and without Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen, the Cavaliers prevailed over the Celtics in the second round. So, the injuries are undeniable. While Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were out with injuries, the Indiana Pacers prevailed over the Milwaukee Bucks in a non-Celtics contest.

The Knicks took advantage of the 76ers’ Joel Embiid injury in the first round, but then they suffered injuries of their own in the second round, losing Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, and OG Anunoby to the Pacers. The Pacers, meanwhile, would lose Tyrese Haliburton in the conference finals.

The Celtics capitalized on an inevitable injury. Now is the moment for Embiid to do what he can to benefit from other teams’ injuries and collapse.
