Jrue Holiday guides Team USA to an outstanding 110-84 victory over Serbia in Olympic opening

Against Serbia, Jrue Holiday, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James all fired the lights out today to combine for 59 points and lead Team USa to an Olympic opener in Paris a 110 to 84 triumph.

How Tatum, Holiday, and White fared for Team USA in opener vs. Serbia

Holiday started and ran 23 minutes. Derrick White, his Celtics colleague, played 15 minutes; the two’s backcourt defense was crucial in the triumph. DNP’s were received by Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton, who I’m sure will provide the talking heads some stuff for tomorrow.

Following not playing against Serbia, Jayson Tatum had a 2-word message

Since Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White are on the 12-man roster, the Boston Celtics are well represented on Team USA.

Boston is off the 18th championship for the brand, hence the trio now has an opportunity to add to their trophy collection as they support Team USA in winning another gold medal.Team USA smashed aside Serbia 110-84 to grab their first pool play victory, starting the journey to the medal rounds rather brilliantly.

Leading the way with combined 44 points, Kevin Durant and LeBron James demonstrated that the old guard of the NBA is still ready to guide a team toward the top.

Holiday and White, meantime, were the main point of attack defenders even if Tatum was fixed to the bench.

Tatum said he was not sick and that he could play totally under Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe once the game stopped.

When I asked Jayson Tatum whether he was ill, he responded, “No, I’m good.” Tweeted Washburn was.Given his usually run with him, Durant’s comeback to the lineup seemed to place Tatum on the outside looking in.

Head coach Steve Kerr, however, looks set on his guard rotation of Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Holiday and White, so leaving little space for Tatum.

Tatum might not have got to play against Serbia, but he will probably be called upon at some time since the team will need his combination of size, shooting, and defense at the front position.
