Ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, Chelsea has unveiled their “ice cold” new white away outfit. After revealing their home strip earlier this month, the Blues have now revealed their second jersey ahead of their Wednesday night third summer friendly against Club America.
During their pre-season trip of the United States, San Jose, California saw filming of the announcement video for the new white shirt with blue and orange trim.
“The ‘blue flame’ theme from this year’s home kit continues into the away shirt, with the orange accent colour presenting fire and the shared ambition, burning passion and determination of the whole club to succeed both on and off the pitch,” said a club statement.
“The shirt and shorts have a woven fabric in ‘guava ice,’ a lighter shade of orange, which accentuates a fresh, young, trendy look. Both are emphasized with “team orange” and “rush blue” cuts to provide contrast and a link to the home kit, which also carries the tones so connected with the years.”Chelsea tweeted, meanwhile, “looking icy cool in the blazing heat. Now, #WeBurnBlue, shop our new away kit. Following the publication of the distinctive home uniform, the strip has drawn conflicting opinions from the Blues loyal on social media.
Regarding on the field, Chelsea was held to a 2-2 tie against League One team Wrexham last week before losing a terrible 4-1 on Saturday. After losing to the Scottish team, manager Enzo Maresca remarked: “Off the ball we need to improve things.
“That is part of the process; occasionally we confuse when we should play short and when we should play a little bit longer. We kept a good line, but you have to drop when the ball is not under pressure; we still find some unclear issues both on and off the ball. It is natural in this point when we are trying something different.”
